With the 5:01 Album, Tim Hicks is sure to cement his reputation as one of Canada’s most dynamic new Country artists.

On this, the follow up to his hugely successful 2013 debut, Throw Down, Hicks serves up ample helpings of the grit, humour and good time anthems his audiences have come to expect, but still finds room to stretch out some; showing substantial growth as a singer, songwriter and recording artist. “Throw Down was very much a party record,” Hicks says, a product of the fact he and his band spent so many years playing the bars and providing the soundtrack for countless other people’s party nights.

The Chris Buck Band was named the BC Country Music Association (BCCMA) 2014/ 2015 Country Club Act of the Year and 2015 Group/Duo of the year, Chris Buck Band has performed over 150 live shows in the last year. They are quickly becoming known as one of the busiest country performers on the west coast of Canada and have also had the opportunity to open for such artist’s as Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett, and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to name a few. Their live show is fun, energetic and it will be hard to sit still during their live set!

Their current single, ”Giddy Up,” is a follow up to the Top 40 Single " Leave Your Light On.” With their new single "Giddy Up" separates them from the norm in the country world. The song is fun, upbeat and their calling it club/country hit!

On top of Tim Hicks and the Chris Buck Band, CanolaFest will also feature great local talent.

This year the festival will feature two stages of music to showcase 12 local artists.

The McIntyre Painting Main Stage will feature local favourites the Montney Coulees, Rose Prairie Romance, Scarlet Sway from Dawson Creek, Last Horse Standing and the Social Bulls.

To help showcase even more local music, we’ve added a second stage sponsored by Peace Country Rentals. This stage will feature acoustic performances from local performers including 10 year-old Madi Comet-Cooper. The Peace Country Rentals Acoustic stage will also include performances from The Road Side Distraction, Tom Cole, Mike Sandberg Band, Lorissa Scriven and Joel Primeau.
