Gift Cards

By using the Ovintiv Events Centre Gift Card, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you are not willing to be bound by each and every term and condition in these Terms of Use, you may not use, and must immediately cease using the Gift Card.

1. Redemption and Use.

The Gift Card can be used a) online at lakeviewtix.ca, b) over the phone via the Ovintiv Events Centre Box Office 250-782-7443, c) Lake View Tix at the Ovintiv Events Centre, and d) with participating vendors at the Ovintiv Events Centre. The Gift Card can be used towards the purchase of most tickets, food, beverage and merchandise at the above locations. Some exemptions may apply, and Gift Cards may not be applicable to all tickets, events, food, beverage or merchandise. Please inquire with individual retailers for participation information.

2. Gift Card Balance

You can check your Gift Card balance online or by calling our Box Office. To check your balance, you must have your Gift Card and PIN number available.

3. Purchase Fees

At the time of purchasing your Gift Card, you may be charged an additional fee per card as an administrative/processing fee. If you order your Gift Card online, you may also be charged a separate shipping and handling fee in order to have the Gift Card mailed to you. Details of shipping and handling charges are available at the time of ordering. 

4. Lost or Stolen Gift Cards

The Gift Card is not replaceable if lost or stolen

5. Expiration Dates
The Gift Card has no expiration date.

6. Cash Redemption

Gift Cards are not refundable or redeemable for cash except as otherwise required by applicable law.

7. Restriction on Use

The Gift Card cannot be combined with any other types of promotion, discount or other coupons. The Gift Card cannot be used as a credit or debit card. Gift Cards may not be used or distributed in connection with any marketing, advertising or promotional activities without the Ovintiv Events Centre’s prior written approval and may not be sold or resold other than through authorized Ovintiv Events Centre channels. The Ovintiv Events Centre Parties reserve the right to limit quantities of Gift Cards purchased by any person or entity, in its sole discretion. The Ovintiv Events Centre Parties reserve the right to cancel a Gift Card if it believes that the Gift Card was obtained through fraudulent or unauthorized means. No credit card, credit line, overdraft protection, or deposit account is associated with your Gift Card.

8. Reloadable

You can “reload” (i.e., add value/balance to your Gift Card at the box office and on the website).

9. Insufficient Balance

If the Gift Card holder’s purchase exceeds the amount of that Gift Card’s balance, the Gift Card holder must pay the difference by another means. 

10. Unused Balance

Unused balances on Gift Cards are not transferable to other Gift Cards. We reserve the right to charge a fee of $2.50 per month (the “Balance Fee”) by deducting the Balance Fee from the balance of the monetary value remaining on your Gift Card for each any unused balance beginning 15 months after the end of the month in which the Gift Card was purchased. If you deliver a written request to us in that 15th month to extend the period prior to charging you a Balance Fee, we will not charge a Balance Fee until the 18th month after the end of the month in which the Gift Card was purchased. 

11. Issues and Governing Law

This Gift Card is issued by Global Spectrum Facility Management as Agent for the City of Dawson Creek at the Ovintiv Events Centre. These Terms of Use will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law rules. 

12. Disclaimer

The Ovintiv Events Centre Parties, together with their respective parent, subsidiaries and affiliates, as applicable, make no conditions, warranties or representations, express or implied, about the suitability, reliability, usability, security, quality, performance, timeliness or accuracy of the Gift Cards or any service associated with the Gift Cards, including without limitation the Website, and expressly disclaim, to the extent possible pursuant to applicable laws, all conditions, warranties and representations of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, whether arising by usage of trade, by course of dealing, by course of performance, at law, in equity, by statute or otherwise. In the event a Gift Card code is non-functional, Gift Card holder’s sole remedy, and our sole liability, shall be the replacement of such Gift Card.
