Please Note: In partnership with Technical Safety BC and the City of Dawson Creek, The South Peace Community Multiplex (Encana Events Centre, Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre and the Lakota Agriplex) will be conducting an emergency exercise on the morning of Friday, September 28.

This exercise is to test crisis response procedures in the event of an ammonia leak or escape. Technical Safety BC requires that ammonia refrigeration plant facilities such as the Encana Events Centre undergo an emergency exercise to test emergency management plans. During the exercise, personnel may be seen wearing hazmat equipment, emergency response vehicles will be on site and access to the South Peace Community Multiplex grounds will be controlled during this drill. This is just an exercise and will not impact the general public.
