ENCANA EVENTS CENTRE MANAGEMENT CONTRACT RENEWED
The City of Dawson Creek is pleased to announce an 11 year extension of the facility management services agreement with Spectra by Comcast Spectacor for the operations of the Encana Events Centre. “I continue to be wowed by Spectra’s management team at each event that is hosted at the Encana Events Centre and the high caliber of artists and entertainment we are able to see right here in Dawson Creek,” said Dale Bumstead, Mayor of Dawson Creek. “Understanding the trends of our recreational and community needs will provide us opportunity to increase public good within the current and unfinished spaces within the Encana Event Centre. Blending this new approach with world class concerts and events will continue to set us apart from every other community in Northern British Columbia.”
“The City of Dawson Creek has seen the results that Spectra has been able to provide to the community and the region in terms of development of well-known acts and artists as well as world class sporting events,” said Spectra’s Ryan MacIvor, General Manager of the Encana Events Centre. “With the commitment of all 3 divisions, we will continue to grow the facility to provide new community opportunities and the trend of being the “Entertainment Capital of the North”.”
