Dawson Creek –In 2015, the Dawson Creek Exhibition Association will be hosting their second dual sanctioned (Canadian/American) Spring Pro Rodeo & Dance on April 24 and 25, 2015 at the Encana Events Centre. 

Tickets will be available for purchase today at 12 PM MST. Tickets may be purchased online at tigerboxofficeplus.ca, by phone at 1-877-339-8499, and in person at the 2 Tiger Box Office Plus locations in the Encana Events Centre and at Tiger Printing & Stationers. 

New for 2015 will be a children's event called Rodeo Magic, a special fun rodeo for children 6 - 10 years old.  Rodeo Magic will be on Thursday April 23, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. and partnered by the Encana Event Centre and Dawson Creek Exhibition & Stampede.  Open to all elementary schools in the Dawson Creek area. There will be lots of fun including barrel racing, mutton bustin, cowboy & cowgirl relay race, chuckwagon racing, face painting, clowns and calf scramble for new bikes.  Don't let your school miss out on this fun rodeo come join local cowboys and cowgirls learn the sport of rodeo.  

The organizers believe with a first class venue like the Encana Events Centre and with the world renowned bucking stock coming from the Calgary Stampede “Born to Buck” Program, this will be an event you don’t want to miss.   Top 24 Canadian and US cowboys and cowgirls will be competing in events such as saddle bronc, bareback, bulls, tie-down roping, steer dogging, team roping & ladies barrel racing.  Each night will end with a Dancing in the Dirt event to a top Canadian country band.

Organizers promise – you will need to “hold on tight” cause this event is going to be wilder than any 8 second ride.

Sponsor packages for the event will be out December 22, for bucking chutes, infield act, drill team, arena banners and the team contestant draft.  The Spring Pro Rodeo will offer individuals or businesses a “Rodeo Team” for those that like to be more involved in the action. Called a “Team Contestant Draft”, where one can purchase rights to a team of riders personally selected by them and winning prize monies for the top 4 teams.

All monies generated by the event will go towards the Dawson Creek Exhibition and Stampede fairgrounds improvement and infrastructure.
