PARTNER IN THE SPOTLIGHT - GLACIER MOBILE GLASS

“It was around March 20^th that the calls started coming into the shop, folks looking for plexiglass in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, we were able to work with our store in Prince George to create free-standing plexiglass partitions for customers” says Dwaine Dilworth, owner of Glacier Mobile Glass in Dawson Creek, Glacier Mobile Glass GP (Grande Prairie), Glacier Mobile Glass PG (Prince George) and Lake City Glacier Glass in Williams Lake.

On this day when we visited Dwaine and his team, both fully equipped mobile glass units were on the road servicing the entire Peace Region from Saddle Hills County to Tumbler Ridge and the shop was buzzing with staff working on glass replacements. Mobile glass units are the convenient alternative to bringing your vehicle or piece of equipment into the shop. The mobile unit can come to your worksite, alleviating the need to shut down the project for any length of time. The units are also busy attending residential properties and switching out windshields in your personal garage or driveway, especially important during the COVID-19 crisis where individuals are self-isolating and unable to leave their homes.

As you can imagine, being the owner of not one but four independent glass businesses has Dwaine behind the steering wheel, driving to each shop to touch base with the other properties. Luckily, stepson and certified Glazier Kayden Casault is perfectly positioned to manage the Dawson Creek shop while Dwaine is out of town. Kayden received a scholarship from the Automotive Retailers Association and received his schooling in Prince George.

Dwaine is a family man, born and raised in Dawson Creek and proud to call the Peace Country his home.
