Facility Details 

The EnCana Events Centre owns two 5000 lb forklifts that are available for rent. They are propane fueled and have a lift height of 17 feet. Fork length is 4 feet (7 feet with extensions).

There are four (4) large locker rooms: one (1) is located on the South East side, the other three (3) are located on the North West side of the building. All of the locker rooms are equipped with phone lines, data cable and shower and washroom facilities.

General Lighting
The house light controls are located in the new Audio and Video room. The spot lighting consists of 112 - 1000 watt metal halide lights. The fixtures are controlled in sets of 2. Maximum lighting for events is 100 verticle foot-candles and 220 horizontal foot-candles

Spotlights
The EnCana Events Centre has four (4) Super Trouper 2K, Long Throw, spot lights. All spotlights are located at the west end of the Suite Level and are easily accessed by the Suite level. Additional spotlights can be rented at the show's request.

Show load-in is located at the South end of the arena and in the middle of the South Peace Community Multiplex, 100ft from the arena floor. There are three (3) loading bay doors and all provide access to the arena floor. There is adequate parking for fifteen (15) buses or trucks outside the load-in area, as well as adequate parking for 3 buses or trucks inside the loading bay. There is a secure lot away from the building for storage of extra trailers, if needed.

The building is secured with locks and keys. Keys for each room may be checked out through the Operations department. All persons who sign out keys will be responsible for return of the keys at the conclusion of the event.

The EnCana Events Centre house sound system provides a full range of high power sound to all seats and concourse levels in the arena. The system is made up of custom, full range, distributed speakers suspended from the arena roof. There is a single compact disc player,  mixing board, microphone, wireless microphone, and a Clear Com (split channel). The AV control room is located on Main concourse level in the Northwest corner. 

The standard mix size 16' x 24' , height can vary from 14" to 24" (size is at the discretion of the show).

The EnCana Events Centre requires a pyrotechnics permit for any pyrotechnics used in the building or anywhere on the premises. There will be a designated room used for storing pyrotechnics. The arena will supply fire extinguishers at the show's expense. Please contact venue for permit application and information.


 

Rigging Diagram (updated February 2010)

Distance from floor to the low steel is 43'. The total rigging weight for an end stage configuration is 95,000 lbs.; it is also 95,000 lbs for a centre stage configuration. Rigging weight for the theatre setting is 65,000 lbs. All the structural steel is divided into 10' x 10' quadrants to reduce the amount of bridling. Arena rigging plans are available from the Operations Office. All rigging plans, including the weight of each point, must be submitted to and approved by the Arena Management prior to load in.
