The third annual FREE Touch-a-Truck event is set to take place on August 22 from 11am-3pm in the Encana Events Centre parking lot. Children of all ages, including adults, are invited to come out and enjoy a hands-on experience with popular emergency vehicles, work trucks, a Zamboni & many more.   An exciting addition to this year’s FREE “Touch A Truck” will be our Kids Hockey Skills Competion. Bring your stick and show off your skills for your chance to win a seat at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge here in Dawson Creek. 

Step right up and SMASH a CAR !

Participants will be given a sledge hammer to swing against a junked car in order to assist in the fundraising efforts.  Rates are $5 for three swings, $15 for seven swings, and $20 for fifteen swings.  

Bring your appetite; there will be Food Trucks on site . Delicious creation from the Blondie's, Wicked Waffles, Krista's Cupcakes, Boston Pizza & More 

All proceeds from the event will go to Step Up ‘N Ride Society of Dawson Creek which is a non-profit organization that provides transportation in Dawson Creek and surrounding area for clients unable to access public transportation and seniors who require their services and Success By 6. Success By 6 builds community through engaging citizens in building child and family friendly communities and funding programs that include cultural programs and resources, literacy, nutrition, child care, children’s play, parenting and family skills development.

This will be a fun & educational experience for people of all ages  We look forward to seeing the community not only come out and see some fantastic machines, but learn from those who operate them!
